Important: Detection of plagiarism or serious ethical concerns at any stage of evaluation or publication is grounds for rejection or retraction.
6. Submission of Manuscripts
Manuscripts must be submitted through the online system at https://j.uctm.edu/ (use the journal manuscript template where applicable). Each submission receives an automatic reference number in the system.
Cover Letter (required)
Each submission must include a cover letter confirming that:
-
the work is original and has not been published or submitted elsewhere;
-
the manuscript fits the journal scope;
-
all authors approve the submission and the final manuscript;
-
any conflicts of interest are disclosed (or explicitly stated as “none”).
7. Manuscript Preparation
File format
Submit manuscripts in Microsoft Word (or compatible format: OpenOffice / RTF).
General formatting
-
Single column; double‑spaced; 12‑pt font; justified text
-
Pages must be consecutively numbered
-
Use Word tools for tables and equations (do not embed as images)
-
Use bold/italics only where required for headings and scientific nomenclature (e.g., genus/species), and avoid unnecessary styling in the body text.
8. Essential Title Page Information
Title
Author names and affiliations
-
Use Given name Family name order
-
Use superscript numerals for multiple affiliations
-
Provide full affiliation(s) including postal address and the email of the corresponding author
Note: Changes in author names after proof stage are not accepted.
Corresponding author
Clearly indicate the corresponding author (e.g., underline or asterisk) and provide email for correspondence during review and publication.
9. Article Structure
Please do not number sections.
Use the following heading style:
Acceptable structure for full‑length research papers:
-
ABSTRACT
-
INTRODUCTION
-
EXPERIMENTAL
-
RESULTS AND DISCUSSION
-
CONCLUSIONS (as bullet points)
-
Acknowledgements (italic, before references)
-
Authors’ contributions (brief statement of each author’s role)
-
References
Abstract
Organize as: objective, methods, main results, short conclusion. Avoid references. Provide up to 8 keywords.
Experimental
Include sufficient detail to reproduce the work. If a method is previously published, cite it and describe briefly.
10. References
-
Cite references in the text with Arabic numerals in square brackets: [1], [2]…
-
List references numerically in order of appearance
-
Journal titles should be abbreviated according to the latest Chemical Abstracts Service Source Index
-
Include only published work; avoid “in press” and unpublished results
-
Non‑English references must be translated into English, with the original language in brackets at the end
