Abstract

This study investigates a thermochemical method for the conversion of industrial biomass residues - specifically peach shells, walnut shells, and cherry stones - into high-value commodities. By employing flash pyrolysis across a range of temperature gradients, a waste-free processing cycle was established, yielding solid, liquid, and gaseous products.
The research focuses on identifying the optimal process parameters and characterizing the physicochemical properties of the resulting fractions. Results indicate that the yield and molecular composition of the products are highly dependent on the precursor’s botanical origin and the specific pyrolysis temperature.
